About Department:
Arts, Commerce and Science College Ravalgaon, operated by Shri Swami Samarth Vidya Prasarak Mandal Dangsaundane has been running the department of political science since 2009 in the college. The subject is taught at a special level from the academic year 2021-22. In which the fundamentals of the Indian Constitution are taught. Similarly, students are introduced to the decentralization of power in the democracy of state government, central government, local self-government institutions and the current form of government.
In this section, the subject of Introduction to Indian Constitution is taught in the academic year 2022-23 in the class of FYBA. While the SYBA class has the Compulsory Course of Introduction to Political science, at a special level, Western Political Thought, Political Journalism, and the Basic of Indian Constitution for SEC, is taught. On the other hand, the TYBA class has the Compulsory Course of Local Self- Government in Maharashtra, while at a special level, subjects such as Public Administration, International Relations, Sanyukt Maharashtra Movement for SEC, etc. are taught.
The mission of the Department of Political Science is to produce graduates who are capable of analyzing and understanding current social and political issues and who can use this knowledge to effect positive change.
