Board
of Students Development of S.S.S.V.P.M.’S Arts, Commerce & Science College
Ravalgaon, (Malegaon) has been one of the active departments in the college. It
has implemented various welfare schemes for the overall development of our
college students. It has been a mediator in communicating various Central and
State Governments & other schemes to the students. At the same time, it has
availed information about various scholarship schemes to the students and
encourages them to benefit from such schemes. It has facilitated the
participation of the students in intercollegiate and inter-university
competitions. Various student-centric activities were organized by the Board of
Students Development, keeping in view the students' interests. Various programs
were conducted as per the circulars issued by the Board of Student Development,
S.P.P.U., Pune, and the government.
Objectives:
The
main objective of the scheme is academic excellence and holistic development of
the student and development of the student as a multifaceted personality with
commitment to the society.
India
lives in her villages and to bridge the gap between rural Bharat and urban
India, this scheme is basically undertaken for the benefit of students coming
from the rural areas, who are economically backward, intelligent and
meritorious but cannot afford higher education, needy and financially hard
pressed.
It
inculcates in the student the idea that no work is big or small and develops a
work culture with the right aptitude.

1) Earn
& Learn Schemes:-
The
main objective of the scheme is to develop a student as a multifaceted
personality with academic excellence and a commitment to an egalitarian
society. India lives in her villages and to bridge the gap between rural Bharat
and urban India, this scheme is basically undertaken for the benefit of
students coming from the rural areas, who are economically backward,
intelligent and meritorious but cannot afford higher education, needy and
financially hard pressed. It inculcates in the student the idea that no work is
big or small and develops a work culture with the right aptitude.
Knowledge of computers, office machines such as photocopying etc. or even
working at a telephone booth, while field work includes working in the garden,
looking after newly planted trees, play grounds, cleanliness of the campus etc.
Each student is expected to work for three hours (3) daily.
2) Nirbhay
Kanya Abhiyan
This
is a scheme introduced by the University to develop the confidence and
personality of a lady student who comes from the rural areas and are deprived
sections of society. The marginalization and deprivation is double if you are a
woman and from the backward or scheduled castes. The main objective of this
scheme is to develop a critical mind, self-confidence and a commitment to
society. The lady students are given training in health, law, and social
activities. They are also given training in self-employment and all possible
other activities that enhance her social confidence. This scheme is open to all
regular lady students from all the affiliated colleges / institutes. Funds for organizing
these activities are provided by the University.
3) Disaster
Management Workshop:
In
order to prevent accidents and hazards, preparing for actions to be taken at
the time of disaster, assessing the damage caused and providing relief to the
affected people, students must be trained for such things. Disaster Management
Workshops are organized every year by Board of Students Development for the
students to make them aware and train against the disasters.
4) Other
Activies
Board
of Students Development, S.P.P.U., Pune provides a special grants to conduct
various activities such as A Special Lecture, Workshops, Training Programmes,
Cultural Activities and Competitions.
Every
year we organizes the programme as per the need of the students.
